Technology Optimization Completed

Following a review of field service data and customer feedback, we have completed a round of design and process optimisation on the TCN turret CNC lathe range. The changes focus on the three areas that most affect day-to-day productivity: turret indexing, spindle assembly and coolant delivery.

Turret indexing

Tool change time has been tightened through revised cam and locking geometry, and the indexing motor control has been re-tuned so that heavy boring bars and driven tools index with the same repeatability as light tools. The result is a shorter chip-to-chip time on short-cycle work.

Spindle assembly

Spindle bearing preload and housing tolerances are now set and recorded per machine during assembly, and each spindle is run in and vibration-checked before the machine leaves the line. This improves surface finish stability on longer runs and makes thermal behaviour more predictable.

Coolant delivery

Coolant lines have been re-routed to reduce pressure loss, and the standard tank capacity has been reviewed for continuous roughing. Options for high-pressure coolant and additional flushing remain available for deep-hole and difficult materials.

Existing machines can be partly updated in the field. Please contact our after-sales team with the machine serial number and we will advise which modifications apply.
